Academic Support Services assists physical and learning disabled students with accommodations to help develop and enhance their student life skills as well as their academic needs. Upon receipt of a request for services and the appropriate documentation, Academic Support Services works with you to provide or establish the most suitable and reasonable accommodations or services.

Career Services assists students with exploring their career options and provides them with the skills they will need to locate internships and jobs. Students are encouraged to use the office as soon as they arrive at Pitzer. Career Services provides a wide array of services, programs, and resources including career counseling, mock interviews, graduate school information, alumni contact names, resume writing, job search and interviewing advice, on-campus recruiting program, and career-related workshops and seminars. It also maintains full-time, part-time, on-campus and summer job listings.

Center for Asian Pacific American Students (CAPAS)
The Center for Asian Pacific American Students (CAPAS) seeks to enrich and develop social, intellectual and personal growth in our students by providing Asian American resources as well as a welcoming, supportive environment. The Center serves as an advocate for the Asian and Pacific Islander community and promotes an educational dialogue that embraces the unique experiences of ethnic communities, the cultural fabric of our institution.

Community Engagement Center
The Community Engagement Center supports research and education that contributes to the understanding of critical community issues and enhances the resources of community organizations. We oversee community-based research projects and encourage experiential pedagogy through partnership with sites focused on issues such as immigration, homelessness, juvenile detention and literacy. We offer student summer internships, senior-year awards and postgraduate fellowships to assist student and faculty engagement in community.

Green Bike Program
The Green Bike Program is a student-run?that?promotes cycling, bike safety and sustainability at The Claremont Colleges and the surrounding community. This is done through the reuse of old bikes and parts along with the organization of cycling events. The Green Bike Program gives community members free access to bicycles, tools, repair lessons.

Jumpstart’s mission is to work toward the day every child in America enters school prepared to succeed. To this end, we train and support Claremont Colleges students to serve as part-time AmeriCorps members, working individually with young children to build skills crucial to school success. Jumpstart Corps members have the unique opportunity to inspire young children to learn, serve in a local community, work on an AmeriCorps team, and build professional skills as part of a network that serves young children in more than sixty communities nationwide.

The Writing Center offers Pitzer students free individual conferences with experienced writers trained to consult on assignments in any discipline at any stage of the writing process, from brainstorming ideas to polishing a final draft. If you are a Pitzer student, we encourage you to schedule a session. Regular 50-minute appointments, two-hour appointments for thesis writers, and special consultations for international students are available.
